SSAV in Brief


The Sree Shanthi Anand Vidyalaya School – Chennai (SSAV) was established in June2011. Our aim since our founding has been to strive to provide excellent instruction, programs, and facilities for the under privileged children of Chennai so that our students appreciate, know, and interact with the historical, social, and cultural context within which we all live here in historical Madras; and to serve as a demonstration center of CBSE. educational methods and practices.

Our ultimate ideals are based on developing within our students a meaningful awareness and sense of responsibility towards the school, society and nation, understanding the strength of our glorious India, UNITY IN DIVERSITY.

SSAV is a national learning community with English as the language of instruction. Consistent with our commitment to diversity, we offer strong English Language Learner programs to students in standards 1-10. We offer a rigorous curriculum based on CBSE academic standards and instructional practices in 3-10 and have planned for the Advanced Placement Programs for future students of Standards 11-12. We are committed to preparing students for their future -- their next level, for college or university, and for the challenges of the 21st century.

SSAV’s Facilities

Today, we are situated on a 5 acre campus in the Chrompet area of Chennai with facilities, including Secondary and Kindergarten libraries separately, a fitness room, tennis courts, soccer fields, playgrounds, And have Planned for setting up a cafeterias and 1000-seat auditorium. SSAV is located approximately 6 km from Pallavaram and Chrompet Railway stations and 7 km from the airport.

SSAV’s Community

SSAV’s community of families is connected to societies, NGO’s, corporate, and educational organizations located in Chennai. We have 200 students who represent a diverse demographic mixture from different communities.

SSAV’s Faculty

Our faculty brings a diverse range of experience and proven commitment to students, instruction, and high standards for achievement. They have access to a rich array of resources and current, progressive instructional and curricular professional development. The school is highly committed to the professional growth and development of its staff. Our faculty-student ratio is 1:25.
